The Waiting Game
For the past month this is how my days begin. I make my cup of coffee & sit down to start the daily task of looking for a job. Honestly, I never thought it would take this long to find a new job opportunity & it's become very scary, challenging, & disheartening.
For the past month or so this is how my days begin. I make my cup of coffee & sit down to start the daily task of working on adoption stuff. Honestly, I never thought it would take this long to start my family & it's become very scary, challenging, & disheartening.
Things I know:
- Waiting is hard.
- Waiting for TWO huge things is very hard.
- Hard doesn't necessarily mean bad.
- The Lord is good.
- God's plan for both my job and my family
is far better than anything I could ever come up with on my own.
is far better than anything I could ever come up with on my own.
So, I apply for this and I apply for that - and I wait.
I fill out a bazillion adoption forms and work on fundraising - and I wait.
I remind myself as each day passes that I trust He'll open just the right doors at just the right time. And all I can do is wait.
Wait & hope.
